Zurb template repo vs foundation sites repo? Updating?

I have a website that I based on the foundation zurb template. If I remember correctly I started by cloning it from git. Eg:

git clone https://github.com/zurb/foundation-zurb-template projectname

I now want to update it to the latest version of foundation. (Mainly for a recent fix on the slideshows)

It appears as if https://github.com/zurb/foundation-zurb-template isn’t being regularly updated anymore, is that correct?
Does it get updated with updates from the main foundation-sites repo?

My package-lock.json has the following info:

“name”: “foundation-zurb-template”,
“version”: “1.0.0”,

“foundation-sites”: {
“version”: “6.6.1”,
“resolved”: “https://registry.npmjs.org/foundation-sites/-/foundation-sites-6.6.1.tgz”,

So, what is the best way to update to the latest version of foundation (v6.6.3 ?)
Updating zurb-template or updating foundation-sites?
Using Git or Npm?

If Git, given that I’ve made a fair number of modifications, to things such as the gulpfile, what is the recommended way to update? Just download the latest Master branch and merge? Or something else?

Does foundation-sites lack anything that is in zurb-template? I’m using things like panini, image/js/css optimization, etc…

Thanks in advance!

You can do this with npm update foundation-sites. See the package.json file and the lockfile.

Change the entry to 6.6.3 and then run npm i.

This worked great, thanks.
It was one of those cases where I kinda worked out how to do it while writing the question, but just wanted to be sure.

I wonder if it’s worth adding a bit to the docs explaining best practice for updates.
